Kicking off Independent Venues Week is ROAM, Eastbourne’s big deal pop-punkers, who are taking a trip around the country’s smaller venues for Independent Venue Week. Equally banging support from Bristol, is Superlove and Crawlspaces from Northampton and Kettering’s Slow Burn.

The art-rock trio from Liverpool, SPQR, are your new favourite band. Plus Northampton’s post-rock supergroup No Music, the realigned indie-rockers Skyflood with the singalong choruses, and the alt-pop sensation Jeana, who collaborates with Ginger Snaps.

Karl Phillips and The Rejects presents a night of rock rap bands including; Project Noise, launching their new Album, The sound of the concrete colony. Bringing the Nu metal/Ska/punk party, Flow&Hustle a four-piece band,fusing hip hop with every genre that they can jam in, G-radio-guitar, LlMerv the wizard-bass, Dd-rums – drums, Irelly-bars, DAMFINO rock group and Gaylips, a band with two people in it. One plays drums the other bass that is all.

Grab your galactic pants and get on the flight path for the first Afro Galactic Jazz at The Garibaldi. New year is always a bore so end your dry Jan upstairs at The Garibaldi with an intergalactic batty skanking in one of Northampton’s best boozers. Bringing something new to the NN scene expect influences from all aspects Jazz, Afro Cuban Jazz and African/Tribal. Don’t get us wrong though this isn’t a straight up Jazz night and sets will launch through Electronic grooves and rhythms clashing the pair. For the first night we invited N Town legend Jazzivibes to grace the decks. We couldn’t think of anybody better to suit our opening night. With his love of everything Jazz to Funk, plus a huge collection of belters to be proud of we are excited to see what he digs out and dusts off for the evening. Hosting the event is Soul Groove who will also be jumping behind the decks with some groovers to get you down and dirty with your bad selves. See you there fellow Afronaughts!
