Kian Russell 16 year-old Russell brings his American blues and rock influences to the fore – from John Mayer and Hendrix through to Paramore and Biffy Clyro. After he lived in the US for some of his childhood he really has soaked up the sound and feel of the guitar greats, and his songwriting is now flourishing. I booked Tragic to open the bill for my Shoetown Presents gig at The Lab in the summer, with Mundays and Kian Russell and I was not disappointed. The band have since played numerous times throughout the county with multiple appearances at The Lab and the Garibaldi at The Lift tower presents, monthly all dayers, featuring 8 bands across 2 different stages. With many more dates being constantly added, the band are quickly making themselves known across the town. The band have recently released singles Walking and Sammy Set His Bed on Fire.
